MaxLinear is seeking a service focused, motivated, and friendly Administrative Assistant & Receptionist for the front desk of our corporate headquarters. This position is approximately 32 hours per week in the office Monday through Thursday. The ideal candidate will thrive in a multi-cultural, professional but business casual environment where responsiveness, detail orientation, and follow through are critical. In this role, duties may include the following:

Greet guests and interview candidates and escort to conference rooms
Set up conference rooms for meetings and candidate interviews
New hire set-up including preparing new hire kits and printing name tags
Serve as first point of contact for employee questions
Complete expense reports monthly
Order and set-up lunch for meetings and clean up
Coordinate employee events with HR including All Hands Meetings
Manage external mailings and sort and deliver incoming mail
Sign for and distribute deliveries
Manage courier process for items coming into and leaving the office
Provide back up support to facilities
Place weekly orders for kitchen and office supplies
Answer and route phone calls
Provide administrative support to executives as needed
Additional responsibilities as needed


Strong customer focus with the ability to appropriately manage expectations
Ability to respond to urgent requests, to be flexible, and to meet deadlines
Ability to work well with a range of personalities
Solid Outlook, Excel, and Word experience
High school Diploma + 3 year of experience; Bachelor’s degree preferred
