Additionally, this employee aids physicians and nursing staff members with procedures and documents patient interactions.


  1. Provide patients’ hygiene by giving bedpans, urinals, baths, backrubs, shampoos, and shaves, and assisting with showers.
  2. Assists with meals and feeds patients, ambulates, turns, and positions patients, and provides fresh water and nourishment between meals.
  3. Administers enemas, douches, non-sterile dressings, surgical preps, ice packs, heat treatments, therapeutic and sitz baths, and applies restraints.
  4. Performs sugar and acetone urine testing, specimen collection, and post-mortem care.
  5. Answers patients’ call lights and requests promptly.
  6. Maintains a safe and attractive environment for patients and staff and transports patients and equipment.
  7. Reports patient conditions to the assigned nurse to ensure professional assessment.
  8. Measures and records food and liquid intake and output, and checks and records vital signs.
  9. Provides patient help with walking, exercising, and moving in and out of bed.


  1. High school diploma or equivalent
  2. Certified Nursing Assistant license
  3. Minimum one year of relevant experience

Clinical Partner 1 CNA

The Clinical Partner (CP) provides basic technical nursing skills (deemed competent) and delegated tasks under the registered nurse’s direction and supervision by the Florida Nurse Practice Act, Florida Statutes, and  BHSF policy.

The CP is a valued nursing team member who collaborates closely with the assigned RN to provide safe and quality patient-centered care.

Examples of nursing activities that cannot be delegated to unlicensed assistive personnel include assessment and evaluation of the impact of interventions on care provided to the patient.


  1. She assists residents with positioning, transferring, and ambulation, ensuring a safe and secure work environment, including preventative infection control methods.
  2. I responded to call lights, internal and external emergencies, and facility codes.
  3. Recording care, vital signs, and observations.
  4. She assists residents with personal clothing, belongings, and equipment; bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene, etc.
  5. Assisting with therapies and treatment under the direction of licensed personnel; motion exercises as needed.
  6. It is accurately obtaining and recording vital signs and other resident data; documenting intake/output records.
  7. They perform basic CNA procedures such as applying anti-embolism stockings, applying creams or lotions, collecting specimens, etc.


  1. High School Cert, GED.
  2. Licensed Practical Nurse Basic Life Support
  3. CNA or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) required
  4. 1-year experience preferred.
  5. Previous experience as a CNA or LPN in an acute care facility in Florida is preferred.

Patient Care Technician

We are looking for a candidate who;

Performs delegated patient care tasks under a registered nurse’s direct supervision. Participates actively as a member of the patient care team. They utilize skills they have obtained in educational programs and orientation and have demonstrated competency.

Various PCT openings in the following areas: Cardiovascular, Transplant, Ortho/Uro/Bari, Hem/Onc/BMT, Med/Surg, Inpatient Medical, SICU, MICU, Short Stay Unit, ED, Perianesthesia, Progressive Care Unit, and Inpatient Flex Team.


  1. Performs other duties as assigned.
  2. Assists in maintaining the safety and comfort needs of patients.
  3. Assists in data collection and activities as assigned.
  4. Observe general behavior and report to the CNA staff assigned to the patient’s delegated responsibilities as directed by the CNA Staff or M.D.s.
  5. Assists in emergencies as directed.
  6. Demonstrates understanding of infection prevention and control standards.
  7. Utilizes specialized skills and safety when carrying out specific tasks of patient care as assigned, including phlebotomy, fingersticks for glucose, and electrocardiograms.


  1. To qualify, you must have a High school graduate or equivalent required.
  2. Working knowledge of English is evident in verbal, reading, and writing abilities.
  3. Demonstrated ability in computer skills
  4. Proficiency in venipuncture and phlebotomy required.
  5. Minimum of one year of experience as a Patient Care Assistant within the last two years.
